Kaspersky stops after updating
To do this, go to Kaspersky's website and follow the instructions for restoring the software. On the site, the button says "download," but clicking it just submits the request. This is a security measure to ensure that real people, and not Web-crawling bots, are the only ones downloading the software. IE 10 would give me the messag "Internet Explorer has stopped working" with only option to close the program.
If, by this point, you still cannot open Kaspersky, the best thing to do is to uninstall and reinstall the application.
Now I have IE 11 and everything else is as bad as it was with Windows 8 and IE 10.
I think that this is something to do with the recent Windows update.
Sometimes a file or system process glitches or becomes corrupted while you are using the computer, shutting down an application, or shutting down the computer.
Upon reboot, Windows goes through a Power-on Self-test process, where it looks for and corrects glitches and corruptions.
If you are clicking all the right buttons and Kaspersky still won't open, try rebooting your computer, especially if the application worked fine the last time you were on.
